België is maar een klein land. Op weg naar het warme zuiden rijden veel vakantiegangers er snel doorheen. Maar het land heeft nog veel natuurschoon dat echt een bezoek waard is.

Wij bezochten een aantal keren Vironval een streek tegen de Franse grens en onder Philippeville. Met een groep enthousiaste, in amfibiën en reptielen geïnteresseerde, vrienden zochten we daar naar adder, ringslag en hagedis. Overigens werd alle natuurschoon bewonderd . Muizen, orchideeën, insecten zoals vlinders en libellen.

Ook de Voerstreek en de Hoge Venen zijn plaatsen waar je nog volop van de natuur kunt genieten.

Belgium is just a little country. On their way to their vacation in the warm south of Europe much people just cross the country very fast. But the country has still a lot of nature to enjoy.

We visited several times Vironval , an area near the French border . With a group of enthousiastic friends , interested in herpetofauna, we looked for viper , NATRIX, and lizard. Apart from that we admired all natural beauty. Mouses, orchids, insects like butterflies and dragon-flies.

Also the "Voerstreek" and the "Hoge Venen" are places where you can enjoy the scenery and nature.
